Subaru Recalls Cars with Engine Issues

In addition to educating drivers on the benefits of backup camera systems, the Rear View Safety blog strives to provide our readers with car safety information from all over the web. Today’s story is no exception, as the Wall Street Journal Blog recently reported on a major recall on Subaru vehicles.

According to the story, Subaru is holding a recall on select Legacy, Outback, Impreza, and Crosstrek vehicles from the past few years. The manufacturer is looking to correct an electrical issue that could cause car engines to start on their own. This recall includes a staggering 47,419 vehicles, all of which are outfitted with remote engine starting technology. Owners of these dysfunctional vehicles could be at risk, as the engine can quickly cause a buildup of carbon monoxide upon starting up.

We strongly suggest that all Subaru owners find out if their vehicle falls under the recall. The car manufacturer can be contacted for more information at 800-782-2783. Interior car safety should be of paramount importance for all car owners, but it is not the only thing to consider when it comes to being cautions with your car. Combined with a reliable engine, our vehicle backup cameras are designed to provide everyday road hazards in all type of conditions.
